The Connecticut Gilbert and Sullivan Society will be performing Gilbert and Sullivan's masterful work Iolanthe.
Gilbert’s clever story line, set to a lilting romantic score by Sullivan, pits a band of fairies against Parliament’s House of Lords in a battle of love versus law, nature versus politics, and women versus men. Mayhem ensues in this wonderfully comedic and highly sentimental plot.
The production, features professional-caliber voices, and is fully staged with beautiful costumes, colorful scenery, and a full orchestra.
