Birmingham Repertory Opera Company

BROC is a recently established, semi-professional opera company based in the West Midlands. We specialise in producing new works by young composers. Our company consists of mostly younger musicians from a variety of backgrounds.

The company generally produces light operas or operetta, although we do occasionally stretch ourselves, especially for concerts where we can provide music from musicals through to G&S (a favourite of ours) to Handel.

Upcoming productions include an operetta concert featuring works from G&S as well as composers from Mozart to Noel Coward, a combined production of The Cardinal (a new work) with Sullivan’s Cox & Box, and The Coalitions Kings (a new satire set in Rome).
