The Gilbert and Sullivan Company of El Paso is celebrating its 43rd anniversary this year, and we would love to have you join us for this landmark event. The company was established to perform the operettas of W.S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan and to produce other allied endeavors. Joan Quarm, our first artistic director, founded the Gilbert and Sullivan Company of El Paso in 1969. It had its beginnings in the Upstairs Theater in Downtown El Paso, TX and moved to the Chamizal National Memorial Theater in the mid-1980's. In 2004, we began performing in Las Cruces, New Mexico at the Black Box Theater and in 2006 at the Scottish Rite Theater. This year the company is proud to be celebrating its 43rd Anniversary Season. Many of our performers have been with the company for over 15 years and we even have parent s and their grown children performing! Our performers come from all walks of life- we have college professors and staff, elementary and high school teachers, medical professionals, financial professionals, federal and local government employees, salespeople and students. We are grateful to Joan for brining all of us together. Our lives have been enriched because of her and cherish her memory.
