Now in our 26th year, the King's College London Gilbert and Sullivan society is highly regarded on the scene for it's vibrant and captivating productions. As the only student-based G&S society in London we are dedicated to presenting all the best that the works of our beloved Sir William Schwenk Gilbert and Sir Arthur Seymour Sullivan have to offer.
Although we are a King's College London society, you don't have to be a King's student to join us. As the only student run Gilbert and Sullivan society in London, we get students from all over the city performing in our shows. In fact, you don't even have to be a student at all! Our cast, orchestra and production team are generally made up of quite a mix of student and associate members, which really is what makes our eclectic group so fun to be a part of.
While we certainly believe in working hard to get our shows from page to stage, we also believe in playing hard, and our social calendar is always bulging at the seams. From bi-weekly pub trips after rehearsals, to our spectacular summer ball, there's always something fun going on!
Usually we put on one show a year in March, however this year we are extremely excited to be taking our production of Yeomen of the Guard to the Buxton International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival in August, so that's all the more reason to get involved!
Although auditions for principal roles have been and gone, the chorus is open to anyone and everyone and it's not too late to join! We rehearse every Thursday evening from 6pm-9pm and every Sunday from 11am -- 5pm (although exact times do change from week to week), so if you fancy being a part of our show-stopping chorus, do get in contact here.
We are also looking for musicians to join our orchestra, and anyone interested in helping out backstage, so we'd love to hear from you. Please get in contact using our contact form here.
