This evening is a real treat! Don’t miss the professional 'triple bill of 'Ages Ago', a musical entertainment with libretto by Gilbert and music by Frederic Clay; 'Trying a Dramatist' and 'Trial by Jury'
In the haunted Scottish Castle of Glen Cockaleekie, where the title deed to the castle, much like Brigadoon, is only found once every hundred years, Ebenezer Tare has decided that, as "possession is nine-tenths of the law," he might as well be in possession of it until such time as the deed shows up again. That night, the paintings of the castle's former owners come to life and step out of their frame. However, in true Gilbertian style, problems ensue….
Directed by David Wilmore, the cast includes former D’Oyly Carte principal Michael Rayner, Nick Sales and Sarah Helsby-Hughes. Also on the programme are 'Trying a Dramatist' written by W S Gilbert and to complete the evening a 'Trial by Jury' with a celebrity cast.
