The Mikado (Lyric Theatre of San Jose 2014)

Lyric Theatre presents The Mikado, or The Town of Titipu, Gilbert & Sullivan's comic masterpiece. Fully staged, in English, with orchestra and supertitles. Nanki-Poo, the son of the Mikado of Japan, is in disguise and on the run from his engagement to Katisha. In the town of Titipu he meets his love, Yum-Yum, who is betrothed to her guardian, Ko-Ko, Lord High Executioner of Titipu. When the Mikado and Katisha come to Titipu to find Nanki-Poo, chaos ensues as boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boy gets girl but is sentenced to death, and everybody lives happily ever after!
