Tragic beheadings, daring escapes, and bad puns meet in the Tower of London...
Come relive our 2012 production of the G&S dark comedy, The Yeomen of the Guard, in a one-night-only performance! Regarded by many critics and fans to be the best opera by Gilbert & Sullivan, Yeomen exhibits the duo at their most operatic, most human, and most tragic. Our production features performers from such companies as the Blue Hill Troupe and NYGASP in what will be a true who's-who
of the NY opera and operetta communities.
Held at Utopia's usual home: Lang Recital Hall at Hunter College, our performance will be followed by a reception where you can chat with the performers and, at the Donor and Sponsor Levels, enjoy wine and hors-d'oeuvres (tickets for these refreshments can also be purchased the night of the show for $10)!
